The IUCN WAME Office in Amman expressed interest to broaden the scope of RSCN’s involvement in WAME through mutual cooperation initiatives. This cooperation will be based on joint programme planning, aimed at facilitating joint efforts in achieving mutual objectives.

Potential areas of collaboration include:

  • Technical assistance in developing and implementing projects at national and regional levels

  •

Capacity building and training programmes for the RSCN staff and target groups

  •

Provision of access to national, regional and global knowledge and expertise networks

  •

Support to RSCN’s national mandate as the leading biodiversity conservation agency through advocacy and promotion

  •

Support to RSCN’s regional training initiatives whilst facilitating their synergy with IUCN’s regional programmes and activities

RSCN is an independent voluntary organization devoted to the conservation of  natural resources, integrating its conservation programmes with socio-economic development. It furthermore promotes wider public support and action for the protection of the natural environment within and neighboring countries.
