Held every four years, the IUCN World Conservation Congress is the world’s largest and most important conservation event. Thousands of participants are preparing to attend from 6 to 15 September 2012 in Jeju, Republic of Korea.

The Congress has two components: a Forum where IUCN members and partners discuss cutting edge ideas, thinking and practice and a Members’ Assembly that is a unique global environmental parliament of governments and NGOs.

CEC will be very active at the Congress. There are workshops, a conservation campus, knowledge cafés, posters and pavillions, which are being led by CEC members and other constituents that relate to topics of communication, education and capacity development. These events in particular are highlighted on the daily schedule here >>
