New research centre established with CEC-member director

CEC member Peter Stoett has been appointed the first director of the new Loyola Sustainability Research Centre at Concordia University in Montreal.
 

CEC Member Peter Stoett has been appointed the first director of the new Loyola Sustainability Research Centre at Concordia University in Montreal. The Centre is committed to advancing high-quality research on the science, policy, and value-systems related to biodiversity conservation, climate change, and the interactions between them. This multidisciplinary Centre includes nearly 30 researchers from over 12 different university departments. It is also engaged with local community efforts to promote urban agriculture and will work with other research units at Concordia University and elsewhere to mainstream biodiversity protection in Canada and in the international system. The Centre is officially housed by the Loyola College for Diversity and Sustainability at Concordia University.
