Additional CEC Support in Namibia

The Commission on Education and Communication (CEC) Steering Committee has endorsed the appointment of Ms. Nelao Sheila Haimbodi as Conservation Communication Expert Support to the CEC Chair in Windhoek, Namibia.
As of October 1st, Nelao is working closely with Cecilia Nizzola in IUCN Headquarters supporting the implementation of CEC Steering Committee activities including event coordination and management fundraising strategies, support in strategic communication for the more than 1000 CEC members globally and overall. Nelao emerged as the successful candidate after a recruitment process which sought to find an individual who has international exposure, skills and expertise to fill this exciting position.
She joins CEC with a background in media an corporate communication, holds a BA in Media Studies and Industrial Psychology (University of Namibia) and is a Fulbright Scholar who obtained a Master of Arts Communication Management from Emerson College in Boston, Massachusetts. Further to that she is due to complete her MSc Sustainable Development from the University of London’s School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS) in 2015.
