Con frecuencia oímos decir que el futuro de nuestro planeta está en manos de nuestros jóvenes y niños, quienes en no pocos años tendrán en sus manos las decisiones sobre el manejo del mundo. Esto es tan válido para la economía, la salud y la educación como para el medio ambiente. Como parte de su estrategia de comunicación social para la conservación, Parques Nacionales Naturales de Colombia ha creado la Red Guácharos: Medios Escolares Amigos de los Parques.

CEC at the Second International Conference on University Radio in Colombia

Dr Justine Braby represented the CEC Chair at this conference in Bogota, Colombia in October 2013. Justine gave a key note address and moderated a panel discussion on communicating conservation and the value of biodiversity. Part of the outcome of the conference was to have the university radio commit to generating awareness and building mobilisation around the World Parks Congress stream “Inspiring a new Generation” and young people’s value of nature. …
