In April 2011 Ms Masego Madzwamuse joined the Open Society Initiative of Southern Africa (OSISA) as Programme Manager for Economic Justice. OSISA has been central in driving and demonstrating the interdependence between democracy, economic development and human rights. IUCN to convene a forum on forests and food security
IUCN is planning to convene its State and Government members, NGO members; United Nations bodies and other international cooperating partners, international and local NGOs, academic and research institutions; and the business sector from Eastern and Southern Africa to a Regional Forum to discuss the link between forests, food security and finance in a changing climate. To be held in Johannesburg, South Africa on September 20 to 23, 2011, the Regional Forum will enhance knowledge, attitudes and practice for integrating forest conservation and food security, in a context of change, in Eastern and Southern Africa. …
