The work of IUCN is made possible through the support of a growing number of partners: governments, multilateral agencies and conventions, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), foundations, private sector and individuals.
Donors & Partners
IUCN’s Donors & Partners
In addition to the Framework Agreements and the Voluntary Contributions, IUCN wishes to acknowledge support above 250,000 Swiss francs from the following Donors and Partners:
- Governments
- Multilateral Agencies and Conventions
- Foundations
- Non-Governmental Organizations
- Private Sector
Framework Agreements
IUCN would like to acknowledge the continued support received from its framework partners: Canada (CIDA), Denmark (Danida), France (Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Ministry of Ecology and Sustainable Development), Italy (DGCS), MAVA Foundation, the Netherlands (DGIS), Norway (Norad), Spain (AECID), Sweden (Sida) and Switzerland (SDC).
Framework partners provide core funding to support the implementation of the IUCN Programme for the period 2005–2008. Funding provided by framework partners is vital to support the implementation of the Union's portfolio on species conservation, protected areas, forest conservation and other areas. This type of support also fosters the development of new programmes such as climate change, poverty, green markets and energy, to enable IUCN to more efficiently and effectively address the threats to sustainability.
