森林大讲堂 第二讲:森林与生物多样性

世界自然保护联盟(IUCN )与中国林学会将在今年国际森林年组织一系列讲座。第二讲关注森林生物多样性:森林是大多数陆地物种的家园,并且热带森林是世界上生态系统最丰富的地区之一。森林生物多样性正在以惊人的速度丧失。诸如《千年生态系统评估》和《濒临灭绝的物种危急清单》等重要出版物指出,由于森林生境的丧失和退化,全球许多的森林生态系统、种群和物种收到了威胁而且数量还在不断扩大,同时,气候变化的影响也将加剧森林生物多样性的丧失。热带湿润森林中生存着所有生物群落中数量最多的濒危物种。据推测,目前有许多的物种正在与其热带森林生境一同消失,但是这一说法尚未得到科学的描述。全球一半以上的温带阔叶和混交林生物群落和近四分之一的热带雨林生物群落已经被人类瓦解或迁移。 …
