Celebrating ‘membership’ and the journey together

20 October 2009 | Event

IUCN Bangladesh organized a members’ celebration dinner on 20th October 2009 in Dhaka.

The purpose of this dinner was to have an informal get-together of our valued members and an opportunity to interact, refresh and renew the long-standing friendship between IUCN-B and its members.

The added attractions of this meeting were the visiting colleagues from the IUCN Asia Regional Office, namely Dr. Zakir Hussain (Director, Constituency), Mr. Kent Jingfors (Regional Programme Coordinator) and Michael Dougherty (Regional Communications Coordinator).  Mr. Mihir Kanti Mazumder, Secretary, Ministry of Environment and Forests also graced the occasion with his presence.

The dinner was a fruitful event, where partners introduced themselves and exchanged their views and ideas. The Country Representative, IUCN B especially thanked everyone for making the effort to come to the event and the dinner ended on a cordial note.
