Climate change negotiation preparations warm up

Environmental experts from around the country gathered in Dhaka at the BIAM Foundation for a significant meeting on climate change.
 
In the lead up to the December global climate change negotiations in Copenhagen, Denmark, members of national environmental organizations have attended briefings around the world, including the Climate Change Talks in Bangkok and the Global Editors Forum in Copenhagen earlier this month.

Herbal fair

Herbal Fair: Healing the World through Promotion and Conservation of Medicinal Plants

A fair promoting herbal medicine was held at the premises of Ujanipara Buddhist Temple in Bandarban District of Chittagong Hill Tracts. The fair was jointly organized by IUCN Bangladesh (IUCNB) and Bolipara Nari Kalyan Somity (BNKS), a member of IUCN. Around 300 people of different ethnic communities were present in this fair, a landmark event aimed towards conservation of essential medicinal plants. …
