Second and Third Training Workshop on Red List Assessment Process

Details: IUCN Bangladesh Country office is organizing two international training workshops on Red List Assessment Process in July under its flagship project “Updating Species Red List of Bangladesh”. The objective of these workshops is to facilitate the assessors in understanding application of IUCN’s Red List categories and criteria based on the latest assessment guideline. Selected assessors of the seven Red List Assessor Groups (RAGs) will participate in the workshops. The workshops are also aimed at building capacity of the professionals in assessing status of risk of extinction of the species following the global standard assessment criteria. Ms. Caroline Pollock and Ms Janet Scott of the Red List Unit, Global Species Programme, IUCN will present at the workshops as trainers.
