Results (Goal, objectives, outcomes and outputs)
Goal
Adverse impacts of climate change in Pakistan are minimized.
Objective
To support the Government of Pakistan in meeting the challenges posed by climate change in the country.
Outputs
The following outputs will contribute to the achievement of this objective:
Output 1: Sound, science-based technical advice provided to GoP for addressing impacts of climate change;
Output 2: Research needs identified and national, regional and international expertise mobilized for capacity building of GoP and their stakeholders for effective participation in UNFCCC/ Kyoto Protocol negotiation process and in the development of programmes to implement the recommendations of CoP/ MoP;
Output 3: The adoption of a cross-sectoral approach for integration of climate change aspects in all relevant GoP policies and programmes facilitated;
Output 4: Assistance provided to MoE in developing project proposals on climate change for both mitigation and adaptation; and
Output 5: Awareness raised on climate change issues.
