The adverse impacts of global warming and climate change on the population, economy and natural resources of Pakistan are already becoming evident. The Technical Advisory Panel (TAP) on Climate Change has been formed to provide support to the Government of Pakistan (GoP) in general, and the Ministry of Environment (MoE) in particular, in the country’s initiatives to address climate change. The Technical Advisory Panel on Climate Change comprises of six regular members namely the Ministry of Environment (MoE), Global Change Impact Studies Center (GCISC), Pakistan Agricultural Research Council (PARC), Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), Asia Pacific Network for Global Change Research (APN) and International Union for the Conservation of Nature (IUCN). The TAP Secretariat is housed in the Islamabad Office of IUCN.
