Balochistan Partnerships for Sustainable Development (BPSD): The Balochistan Partnerships for Sustainable Development programme primarily includes developmental interventions in the field of environmental governance, water resource management, watersheds and rangelands improvement, and coastal ecosystem improvement and rehabilitation. Additionally, climate change and desertification remains cross-cutting focus while addressing these sectors. Also, vertical as well as horizontal linkages and alliances between government, civil society, private sector and natural resource users require dedicated effort along with adequate capacity enhancement for institutions and professionals. Though more focussed on field initiatives, partnerships and alliances, and capacity enhancement, the BPSD primarily is a continuation of the Balochistan Programme (2002-07).
