Stakeholders from central and local government agencies and civil society organizations provided comments on Viet Nam’s draft Biodiversity Corridors Decree at an IUCN-supported national workshop on 16 March intended to gather input for use in the document’s final revisions. What we are up to ... our upcoming events
- 7-15 July in Hanoi
Objective: To gather stakeholders who partnered on projects with IUCN VN under the office’s four-year country programme support agreement with the Swedish International Development Cooperation Agency (Sida). The meeting will allow Sida to evaluate IUCN’s work under the agreement and look for further opportunities for collaboration.
FLEGT Briefing Session
- 15 July in Hanoi
Objective: To provide background information on FLEGT and IUCN’s SVBC project to local NGO and private sector representatives, and to look for opportunities for future work on the issue of legal timber trade.
IUCN/Holcim Vietnam “Waste Management & Environmental Protection” summer campaign closing events
- 12-19 August in Holcim’s four sites: Kien Giang, Vung Tau, and two in Ho Chi Minh City
Objective: To stimulate public awareness and participation in waste collection, classification, and recycling in the Holcim Vietnam Ltd.’s four operational sites.
World Water Week

Objective: Sida will support two IUCN VN staff members to attend World Water Week to continue building strong working partnerships between the two offices.
FLEGT workshop for the private sector and provincial and other authorities
