WE STRIVE TO

  • Conserve biodiversity for sustainable livelihoods
  • Support the contribution of forests and drylands to global climate change adaptation and mitigation
  • Promote land as a productive asset for the rural poor and natural resource-dependent communities
  • Create fair, transparent and sustainable markets for natural resource-derived products – globally and locally
  • Promote a learning organization linking global, regional and country level knowledge to address IUCN’s global, regional and country programme priorities and to impact on policies.

WORKING WITH US
We act as a regional hub by providing technical support and knowledge to fellow IUCN secretariats, members and commissions, and to our project partners. We also implement our own projects, consult, undertake joint project development, etc., on land issues and climate change linking grassroots action to broader policy processes throughout Asia.
