The Energy, livelihoods and nature component of the programme aims to support the transition of the Caribbean region to an ecologically sustainable and socially equitable economic future.

The main objectives are to:

  • Ensure that national and regional energy policies make the linkages between energy, nature and livelihood sustainability;

  • Build regional capacity to assess energy options that minimise impacts on natural assets;

  • Identify, demonstrate and promote nature-based energy options that support national and regional goals of conservation, sustainable development and poverty reduction.
