Climate Change Resilience in Morocco
The chosen area in Morocco is Oued el Kebir Watershed.
Characterized by a highly rugged topography, with abundant rainfall and largely degraded vegetative cover, the area is subject to various natural hazards that can cause significant damage or cripple some or all of the normal activity of its population. The situation is particularly worrying because the site is suffering from an adversarial situation between the abundance of rainfall and the low availability of water resources.
With SEARCH working on finding ways to overcome and adapt to these adverse changes, the local community at the Oued el Kebir watershed will start absorbing these disturbances by stategicly planning for upcoming years.
