IUCN's Livelihoods and Landscape Strategy is changing the lives of poor communities around the world by restoring forest services, improving livelihoods and creating means of income. Jamie Gordon of IUCN's Forest Conservation Programme describes a few of those success stories.

Of course it is possible! And it is happening. The Livelihoods and Landscapes Strategy is active in several regions of the Sahel, including Mali and Burkina Faso. More information is available on the LLS website - although some of it is in French...

That is a good initiative for both environment and people. I'm asking myself if such an act is possible in the Sahel ( West Africa). Thank you
