Our work in Burkina Faso
In Burkina Faso, in collaboration with the Government of Burkina Faso, Livelihoods and Landscapes will undertake needs assessments in selected newly established communes to ascertain the level of understanding of existing rights and entitlements to forest resources among local communities, district forest departments and local municipal councils, and of how this understanding translates into practical forest management arrangements within the area of intervention. Particular attention would be given to gender and equity considerations regarding how forest-derived resources are used and the value accrued locally, regionally and/or nationally
