Economics and Environment at IUCN
IUCN has for many years supported efforts to integrate economic perspectives and methods in nature conservation. This includes work on valuing environmental benefits and costs, developing positive economic incentives for nature conservation and investment in biodiversity-friendly business, and removing or reforming so-called "perverse" incentives that result in the loss of biological diversity.
IUCN Water and Nature Initiative (WANI)
The IUCN Water and Nature Initiative is a direct response to the call for moving from vision to action, a call that was heard over the last two years during the consultations for the Water and Nature - Vision and during and after the 2nd World Water Forum.
