Our mission and vision
The Forest Conservation Programme aims to:
- Enhance sustainable forest management and forest conservation on a global scale, as this is a prerequisite for the success of forest-based climate change mitigation and adaptation actions.
- Secure the functions and services of forest ecosystems to optimize their climate, livelihood and biodiversity benefits
- Synergize forest-based climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts with ongoing efforts to reduce deforestation, enhance sustainable forest management, reduce poverty and protect biodiversity.
