Stockholm World Water Week 2014
World Water Week is an annual conference addressing the world’s most urgent water-related challenges. For the 2014 conference, IUCN is a key collaborating partner.
Each year, the conference brings together over 2,500 experts, practitioners, decision-makers and business innovators from around the globe to exchange ideas, foster new thinking and develop solutions for water.
Along with the World Bank and Sustainable Energy For All, IUCN will help shape and support the World Water Week (WWW) 2014 in partnership with the Stockholm International Water Institute (SIWI).
World Water Week 2014 will be held under the theme of energy and water. Global demand for energy as well as water is booming and demand for both is projected to increase by 50 per cent over the coming decades. Water is vital for the production of energy and energy is indispensable for water provision.
