The Voices4Climate Competition invites young people from all over the world to submit photos, videos, music videos, and podcasts that tell powerful climate change stories. Start shooting, snapping, reporting, and rapping and tell us: how is climate change affecting your country? Your community? You, your friends, and your family? Do you have a cool idea for a local solution?
Each photo, video, or music video entry must tell a climate change story related to one of these eight categories: 1) Agriculture, 2) Cities, 3) Energy, 4) Forests, 5) Gender, 6)Health, 7) Jobs and the Green Economy, and 8) Water. For inspiration, check out "Me and My Bike," one of last year’s winning videos from Kenya's Slum Talent Trust.
We also have a special podcast competition category in partnership with TerrAfrica- an African-driven global partnership program that aims to address land degradation in Sub-Saharan Africa . All entries to the TerrAfrica Podcast Story category must tell an African land degradation or sustainable land and water management story.
Music video winners will be invited to spend a day with MTV editors in New York or London and have their music video featured on MTV’s Voices platform; TerrAfrica Podcast Story winners will be invited to Doha to cover the UN Climate Change Conference/COP18 for TerrAfrica Green Radio.
Get your creative juices flowing and send us your submissions soon!
