Water for nature, water for people

Water, biodiversity and livelihoods are inextricably linked. Dr Emmanuel Mwendera, Water Programme Coordinator for IUCN’s Eastern and Southern Africa Regional Office, explains.

Dr Mwendera talks about IUCN's work in ensuring that water resources are managed in a sustainable manner – for the benefit of the environment and people.

The interview was taken during the meeting of the Subsidiary Body on Scientific, Technical and Technological Advice to the Convention on Biological Diversity, or SBSTTA, which took place in Nairobi, Kenya from 10 to 21 May 2010.
