One of the products of the workshop in Amman, realised in a few hours by Gabriel Mikhail from Egypt and Walaa Awwad from Palestine, was this video. It was made in four hours during the last day of the workshop as one of the end products, along with a range other products such as change pathways for hunting and energy sector, taglines and stories of positive change. Participants in the workshop included CEOs and communication officers from Birdlife partners in the Middle East and Africa. At the end of the workshop, participants received a Birdlife/CEC certificate.
From the 2nd to the 5th of July 2012, the Migratory Soaring Birds project held a regional communication workshop that gathered more than 30 people, project partners and observers, from more than 10 countries. The workshop tackled the fundamentals of strategic communication as a tool for conservation professionals.
"I have learned a lot on how to communicate in a professional way and how to mainstream the different sectors affecting the Regional Flyways,” said Y. M., a participant from the Foundation for the Endangered Wildlife (FEW) in Yemen.
