The Bishop of Liverpool, the Right Reverend James Jones, became deeply involved in environmental issues about eight years ago. In a visit to IUCN, the International Union for Conservation of Nature, he talks to Sarah Halls about the reasons he became an environmentalist and the role he thinks the Church has to play in the fight against climate change.

- You came up with the excellent idea of a Carbon Fast during Lent. Tell us a bit more about that.
- What role do you think the Church has to play in the fight against climate change?
