Le PRCM, acteur résolu de la lutte contre l'érosion côtière en Afrique

Le Programme Régional de Conservation de la Zone Côtière et Marine en Afrique de l’Ouest (PRCM) a pris part aux travaux de la première conférence africaine sur l’érosion côtière tenue les 18 et 19 mai  2009, à Dakar, au Sénégal. Cette rencontre suscitée par le Chef de l’Etat, Abdoulaye Wade, a regroupé les ministres et experts des pays africains confrontés au phénomène de l’érosion côtière. Le PRCM, en tant que programme côtier à l’échelle régionale et forcément sensible à tout ce qui affecte l’intégrité du littoral ouest africain, s’y est impliqué techniquement et financièrement. …

Core partners and core team of IUCN ROWA Regional Water Resources & Drylands Programme (REWARD) were involved in a strategic work meeting to define a strategy for the REWARD Programme. This meeting took place in Sharm El Sheikh during May 16-19, 2009. The meeting focused on incorporating new dimensions in the programme such as ecosystems, drylands, climate change, gender and livelihood security.
