Herbal Fair: Healing the World through Promotion and Conservation of Medicinal Plants
A fair promoting herbal medicine was held at the premises of Ujanipara Buddhist Temple in Bandarban District of Chittagong Hill Tracts. The fair was jointly organized by IUCN Bangladesh (IUCNB) and Bolipara Nari Kalyan Somity (BNKS), a member of IUCN. Around 300 people of different ethnic communities were present in this fair, a landmark event aimed towards conservation of essential medicinal plants. …

Students in Venice Study Biodiversity
CEC member Marco Prunotto is organizing an educational project for students aged 11 to 13 in Venice, Italy. Simple classroom experiments like growing mold on bread will produce samples that teach lessons in biodiversity -- observed under microscopes, recorded in cell phone photos, connected to larger issues of sustainability in everyday life.
