The 3 awards will be presented at the IUCN World Conservation Congress in Jeju, Republic of Korea, 6-15 September 2012. The deadline for all nominations is 30 September 2011.

Harold Jefferson Coolidge Memorial Medal

Established eight years ago during the World Conservation Congress in Thailand, the Harold Jefferson Coolidge Memorial Medal will go to a conservation professional who has made outstanding contributions to the conservation of nature and natural resources.

Anybody can nominate an individual for the Harold Jefferson Coolidge Medal

The John C. Phillips Memorial Medal

The John C. Phillips Memorial Medal recognizes outstanding service in international conservation and commemorates the life and work of Dr John C. Phillips, a pioneer of the conservation movement.

IUCN Members and Commission Members are invited to submit nominations for the John C. Phillips Medal.

Honorary membership of IUCN

Honorary Membership of IUCN recognizes outstanding services to the conservation of nature and natural resources, and exceptional contributions to furthering the goals of the Union.
