HSBC and IUCN support Water and Energy Management for the Zarqa River Basin in Jordan

The climate change impact on the agricultural economy of Zarqa Basin upon which the livelihoods of its inhabitants depends was reported to be serious. HSBC jointly with IUCN are now embarking on an initiative to help adapting to such situation.

La communauté de l'UICN est profondément attristée par la perte de sa collègue et amie, Susan Mainka. Sue est décédée le dimanche 12 février, après une bataille de cinq mois contre le cancer. Sa contribution à l'UICN, au Programme des Espèces et au maintien de la rigueur scientifique est remarquable. Le Prix « Peter Scott Award for Conservation Merit » a été décerné à Sue le 4 février 2012, en reconnaissance de son travail novateur sur la conservation du panda géant, pour la direction du Programme des Espèces de l’UICN et pour son soutien aux défenseurs de la nature dans le monde entier, et plus particulièrement en Asie. …   | English | Spanish
