The value of groundwater in European Forests

The IUCN Environmental Law Centre and the IUCN Regional Office for Europe, in collaboration with the Confederation of European Forest Owners, has recently developed a report – Study on the Economic Value of Groundwater and Biodiversity in European Forests – which explores the current state of payments for ecosystem services (PES) in EU member states in relation to forests and groundwater.
