Towards collaborative governance in Indonesia – workshop opening

With a high-level roundtable discussion and an official opening by the Minister for Marine Affairs and Fisheries, Indonesia, a major capacity building workshop on MPA governance kicked off in Bali on 16 September. The workshop is a joint effort by the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries (MMAF), IUCN through its engagement in the Blue Solutions initiative, and the Coral Triangle Center. It brings together over 100 MPA practitioners from Indonesia, Timor Leste, as well as international presenters of “solutions” from abroad. …
