11 July 2008 | Audio

The Reunion 2008 conference has now reached the end of Day 4, and there have been many presentations, voluminous amounts of information imparted, forests explored and most recently a chance for the participants to have their say within various workshops.

In order to get some sense as to the tenor of the conference, IUCN spoke to Ladislav Miko, who has acted as Director, Protecting the Natural Environment, in the Directorate General for Environment of the European Commission since May 2005.

Mr Miko gaves us his thoughts on the achievements thus far of the conference and what this headway could mean in relation to the EC process.
