According to selected Forum and/or Members’ Assembly category, the active participant’s registration fee includes:
- Participation to all public sessions/events*
- Access to the Pavilions and the Exhibition*
- Access to Opening and Closing Ceremonies with seating priority given to IUCN members and Commissions members (according to building/room capacity and security measures)
- Set of pre-, during, and post-Congress documentation (electronic formats by default)
Fees do not include:
- Spanish VAT (Value Added Tax) has been exempted according to article 20.1-14d of Bill 37/1992, of 28 December, of the Value Added Tax (Spain)
- Airport transfers
- Local transportation to the Congress venue
- Meals
- Accommodation
- Pre- and Post-Congress tours
- Excursions
- Insurance

| 5. Youth (up to 25 years as at 5 October 2008)
Participants registering as youth will not be recognized as part of a members’ delegation or Commission and will be required to produce an ID onsite to prove their age.

Please be aware that the online registration fees will only be available up to 25 September 2008. After this date the fees will be increased to “onsite fees” rates. During the week prior to the Congress (26 September - 4 October), response time for registration queries will be affected as the Registration Office moves to Barcelona for set-up.
Payment by bank transfer will cease to be an option after 12 September 2008.
* Spanish VAT (Value Added Tax) has been exempted according to article 20.1-14d of Bill 37/1992, of 28 December, of the Value Added Tax (Spain) on any fee for registration, cancellation, name change/lost badge and to the bank transfer fee. This will be showing on the payment screen. Voluntary contribution to Neutral Carbon Congress is not subjected to VAT.
** Observers do not have voting nor speaking rights and will not be allowed to attend meetings of the contact groups.
1 You may be requested to present verification of being employed/associated with a not-for-profit organization, foundation, NGO, UN agency, government, public university/education centre.
2 Registration for Youth is only valid during the Forum (5-9 October 2008), carries the same entitlements as those for active participants except that the participant will not be recognized as part of a member’s delegation or Commission. It will be applicable to all participants born after Oct 5, 1983. You must provide proof of your date of birth by means of a photocopy of an official document (passport, identity card, etc.) to obtain this discount at the time of registering.
