The Call for Contributions for the IUCN World Conservation Forum resulted in an overwhelming response from IUCN’s members, partners and from the broader conservation community. More than 1500 proposals were submitted during the 6 months of the Call, for the different types of events that the World Conservation Forum will offer in Barcelona. Each proposal has gone through an extensive reviewing process, both internally, within IUCN and through a team of external reviewers.
A total of 677 proposals have been accepted, including 40 Learning Opportunities and pending to add Conservation Cinema and Social events which are currently being reviewed. The list of confirmed Aliances can be viewed here, the list of accepted posters, Knowledge Cafés and other events here. Most of the proposals have been accepted as stand alone, but due to the high convergence between some of the proposed workshops, some have been clustered into “Consolidated Workshops”, were several organisers have accepted to work together to develop a stronger workshop for the Forum. The breakdown of proposals among the three Congress streams is as follows:
|

Stream1: A new climate for change |
Stream2: Healthy environments – healthy people |
