Theo các đại biểu tham dự buổi Tọa đàm cấp cao về Thay đổi Khí hậu được tổ chức ngày 25/5 bởi IUCN thì Việt Nam sẽ là một trong những nước bị ảnh hưởng nhiều nhất bởi sự thay đổi khí hậu. Chỉ với mức tăng mực nước biển 1 m, thì khoảng trên 6% tổng diện tích tự nhiên của Việt Nam sẽ bị nhấn chìm dưới nước và khoảng trên 10 triệu người sẽ bị mất chỗ ở

Viet Nam expected to be hit worst by the impacts of climate change

  Viet Nam will be one of the countries most affected by climate change in the world, according to participants in the High Level Discussion on Climate Change, held on 25 May and facilitated by IUCN. A sea-level rise of only one meter could inundate over six percent of the total area of the country and displace over 10 million people.

Mangroves for the Future (MFF) invests in coastal ecosystems for people and nature

  MFF Regional Forum 21-24 April, Sri Lanka 
Mangroves for the Future (MFF) is a unique multi-partner initiative to strengthen environmental sustainability of coastal development, and to promote investment in coastal ecosystems. MFF inaugurated its first Regional Review Forum on the 21st of April 2008, at the Heritance Hotel, Ahungalla, Sri Lanka. The Forum is a four day event hosted by the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources (MOENR), Sri Lanka which brought together 60 participants including MFF partners, focal points, country representatives and international and regional technical expertise to review progress in detail of each MFF programme of work.
