Development and Conservation organizations partner on adaptation

IUCN, CARE, and WWF have joined forces to build poor and marginalized people's resilience to the impacts of climate change by promoting sound ecosystem management into human adaptation.

The Ecosystem and Livelihoods Adaptation network (ELAN) focuses on demonstrating best practices, building capacity, advising policy, and making science more accessible to practitioners and policy makers. This image shows the courtship behavior of Indian Bull frogs (Holobatrachus tigerinus). During the monsoon, the breeding males become bright yellow in color, while females remain dull. The prominent blue vocal sacs of male produce strong nasal mating call.
