A new water governance project for the Mesoamerica region was launched today at COP16 in Cancun during the UN climate talks.

Rocío Córdoba, IUCN Mesoamerica Water Coordinator, explains why this new project has the real potential to tackle the effects of increased extreme weather events in the region, whilst at  the same time building  the capacity of local people.
