CEC Newsletter August 2010
06 August 2010 | News story
Look for 'good practices' among the 35 news items in the July/August issue of the IUCN CEC Newsletter.
Dear CEC members,
Thank you for responding to my call for newsletter submissions. I trust you will enjoy reading about the 'good practices' employed to communicate conservation messages, inspire local action and influence government policy. In the spirit of sharing your experience and expertise, I would like to invite you to take the following action:
- Take a survey from WCPA about the next World Parks Congress
- Read “Branding Biodiversity” and share it widely
- Tell us about your work with young people and partnerships across generations
As CEC Chair, I recently had the pleasure of signing an MoU with the Government of Jalisco, Mexico, committing to cooperation on biodiversity and CEPA. In this issue, I am pleased to share more than 30 newsletter stories from CEC members in many regions: Central and West Africa, Eastern and Southern Africa, Europe, Oceania, Meso America, North Africa, North America and South Asia. You may also enjoy following the eco-adventure of two young biodiversity explorers.
With best regards,
Keith Wheeler, CEC Chair
