IUCN's project in Albania is making very good progress: the standards developed by IUCN-coordinated working group for the management of protected areas in Albania have been adopted as part of the national legislation. The interview with Mr. Dragoti, Head of the Protected Areas Management department of the Ministry of Environment, Forests and Water Administration stresses that the joint project is already achieving great results, developing standardised steps for the preparation of protected areas’ management plans, by integrating local expertise and international standards.
