Get into the woods with this month’s photo competition & A Fine Frenzy
15 August 2012 | News story
They surround us, but how often are we paying attention to them? Trees are everywhere, and we here at IUCN want to see your best photos of #trees.
From 15 August to 15 September, we’re running a photo competition along with Alison Sudol of A Fine Frenzy to showcase the beauty of the wilderness. Songwriter, pianist, singer and IUCN goodwill ambassador, Alison released her first indie pop album One Cell in the Sea in 2007, followed in 2009 by Bomb in a Birdcage. Pines, her much awaited 3rd album will be available early October.
All you have to do is go outside and snap away and then upload your photo to Twitter or Instagram, tell us a bit about it and tag it with #trees and #IUCNpic. Be sure to mention us @IUCN so we can share your beautiful photos.
The best #trees picture will win a signed copy of A Fine Frenzy’s Pines, a stunning book of nature photography and a certificate of excellence from IUCN. Your photo will also be featured on our website and Facebook page for everyone to enjoy.
We’ll have a gallery of these stunning photos from our community at http://iucn2012.tweetwally.com.
Need some inspiration? Listen to Alison’s soothing music and get outside!
Show us your photos and, touch wood, you could be our next winner.
