A three-day International Seminar on Greening Education will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2009 in the "green" city of Karlsruhe, Germany.

 A three-day International Seminar on Greening Education will be held from 30 September to 2 October 2009 in the "green" city of Karlsruhe, Germany.

Who is it for? Education and environmental policy makers, government and non-governmental organisations, education institutions, teachers, international agencies and environmental professionals.

What will be dicussed? The need for greening education. Effective initiatives that governments, education institutions and development organisations can take. Ecologizing curriculum (incorporating sustainability in curriculum). Greening delivery of courses (sustainability compatible education delivery). Low carbon education institutions.

What is the objective? To provide sustainable knowledge, skills, values and practices in classrooms and in the communities.

You are cordially invited to attend this international event. Held in English, it is hosted by the Etech-Center für angewandte Umwelttechnologien (Etech-Center for Applied Environmental Technologies).
