The week-long course on “Education and Values for Sustainable Development” (May 13-17th) will be facilitated by Professor Sam Crowell, emeritus of education at California State University, and introduces the concept of sustainable development and its implications for education, learning, and change. Using a holistic and integrative approach, this course explores practical methods for introducing the values of sustainability, as articulated in the Earth Charter, to schools and classrooms. In the lead up to the course, they will be hosting a free webinar on their online platform, WizIQ on Monday March 18th, 15:00h GMT/UTC (11:00am New York, 3:00pm London, 5:00pm Paris, www.thetimezoneconverter.com). During this 1.5-hour webinar, the panelists will discuss various questions presented by the host, and the floor will be opened for participants to ask more questions and interact with the panelists in the second half of the webinar. Speakers will include: Sam Crowell, Stephen Sterling, and Alexander Leicht.
